From the letter of Gundega’s parents:
“Our Gundega is 7 years old. In the first months of her life nothing indicated that our daughter would have health problems. We had regular medical consultations, and all doctors said that our baby was OK... But when she was 7 months old, Gundega and I went to hospital.
When Gundega was 2 years old, she was diagnosed lissencephaly, in particular — Miller-Dieker syndrome, found in one of one hundred thousand patients. Death occurs in the first months of life, and most children die before they are two. Now she is the only child in Latvia with this diagnosis and doctors can’t help her, so we are looking for a possibility to save her.
We have found an institute in Philadelphia, USA, where they work with children who have brain damage. After 3 years of working on the basis of the institute program, Gundega’s quality of life has improved: she has fewer strokes (she had up to 50 cramps a day and sometimes lost consciousness), she has a better appetite. Gundega has become stronger physically. We communicate with our daughter via computer. She can read books in three languages and write poems. We hope that the results of the institute treatment will be positive and our girl will be able to walk and talk.

“The girl still cannot walk or talk, though she has normal psychic development. Using a special method, she can read and write in English, Russian and Latvian, she started to write poems. Using the funds raised during charity campaigns, the child is treated by specialists in America, where she is examined 1–2 times a year.
She has been examined and diagnosed parasitic infections — cytomegalovirus, Ascaris, pinworms, Lamblia. The girl needs anti-parasitic therapy with the help of DETA-AP device and treatment with DETA-Ritm device, and her parents cannot afford them. Please help as much as you can to buy the devices”.

So far, our appeal has been heard by the Latvian Intway club “Royalty”: the club, headed by Irina Tasteven, helps to collect the funds needed to buy the devices, within the framework of the charity marathon “Help children”.

Our call to respond quickly Latvian club. As part of the charity marathon "Help Children" Club Royalty headed by Irina Tasteven helped us raise funds to purchase device. And now we send device Life Energy DETA-RITM and DETA-AP for Gundega.
